THE POLE STAR

In January 2014 a competition was held by Serneke AB and (municipal partners) for the design of Karlavagnsplatsen — a dynamic urban area of Lindholmen, Gothenburg, that will include one of the tallest buildings in the Nordic region.

Announcement of the winning bid — “Polestar,” by Skidmore Owings & Merrill INC ­— was published in print and online. Transcreation was required for English-language versions of the jury’s verdict.
